In a recent (2020) study conducted by the independent consulting firm Marks-Nelson, they reviewed hundreds of industries to uncover which companies would derive the most benefit from our regional strengths. This analysis looked at the overall value chain, spanning both suppliers and customers, and the results confirm our strengths:

WATER, ELECTRIC & BROADBAND
  • Current plant capacity is 4.8 MGD.

  • Water rights from the Marais des Cygnes River are 897 million gallons a year.

  • Three water towers.

  • Water Reclamation Facility daily design flow is set at 2.68 million gallons per day, with a peak flow up to 5.36 million gallons.

  • Electric production is currently capable of 18MW with 4 units.

  • SE substation has 30MW transformer to solely serve Proximity Park, currently 1 circuit is complete, and a 2nd is across the interstate.

  • Electric utility has earned an RP3 designation for excellence in all aspects of our operation from the American Public Power Association.

  • 144 strand fiber is on the electric poles in Proximity Park.

  • Currently have a Gigabyte available.

  • Redundant connections possible.
